In March 2009, Octanex N.L. completed a merger with Strata Resources N.L. ("Strata") via a Supreme Court and Shareholder approved re-organisation (technically called a ‘scheme of arrangement') under which the Company acquired all of Strata. At the same time the Company acquired all of Exmouth Exploration Pty Ltd ("Exmouth"), a company with common permit and related interests to both the Octanex and Strata. Both of these acquisitions were effected by way of an issue of Octanex shares to acquire all of the shares in Strata and Exmouth and those companies became wholly-owned subsidiaries of Octanex NL - Strata has since been converted to a proprietary company and its name changed to Strata Resources Pty Ltd
