we understand that the company made a business decision to delist from ASX, as CDIs representing Newmont shares comprised less than 1% of the company's stock and it was unlikely therefore to be seeking to raise equity capital via ASX (shareholders who have not already sold their shares are still able to convert their Newmont CDIs into Newmont Common Shares by contacting Newmont's Australian share registry (Computershare) requesting that the legal title to the underlying Newmont Common Shares be transferred to them - if they choose this option, they will become a registered shareholder in Newmont and be able to trade their Newmont Common Shares on the New York Stock Exchange, from 30 days after transfer - alternatively, they may sell the Newmont Common Shares underlying their Newmont CDIs through the Voluntary Share Sale Facility managed by BNY Mellon, between 27 April 2010 and 27 July 2010 - this is available to all CDI holders who are registered on Newmont's Australian registry at 7pm on 17 February 2010, but only available for the full parcel of shares, and not by portion - otherwise their shares will be compulsorily sold after 27 July 2010)
