taken over by Western Mining Corporation Holdings Limited - we note that in 1974, WMC took up a 37.9% interest in Hill 50 Gold Mine NL (Hill 50) when it acquired 13,640,000 Hill 50 shares that were not taken up by shareholders in a one for one issue. Over the next few years WMC increased its shareholding in Hill 50 and on 14 April 1989 it became a wholly owned subsidiary of WMC.
